Hope, Healing and WellBeing – The God Within: The Day God’s Train Stopped with Patti Cocklin

PATTI CONKLIN, Ph.D., Medical Intuitive, is a “Vibrational Intuitive” with exceedingly rare vision and the unique ability to pull disease out of the physical body. Patti is a lecturer and teacher of vibrational medicine: the method of improving health and wellness through the neutralization of “negative” vibrations in the cells of the body. She is an incredibly sensitive and perceptive individual and a highly sought-after International speaker who shares her exceptional abilities in her workshops and private practice.

In this interview, we discuss her new book, God Within: The Day God’s Train Stopped, a tell-all book that recounts the experiences, visitations, and lessons Patti has been faced with in learning and accepting her mission in this life: “To teach others to become insubstantial without transitioning.”

Patti begins by describing her own health issues that motivated her desire to both heal herself and later, help others. In her early 30s, she developed both forms of lupus and was critically ill. She had a “visitation” involving color. She learned there was an emotional component to her disease, that of lack of self-worth. She asked her body what color she needed to recover and that knowledge helped lead to her current work. She developed a healing process called ColorWork, which involves emotional as well as physical healing. This process can be done in as little as 10 minutes a day for 30-45 days to remove emotions that cause blockage.

Patti shares both some of her spiritual experiences and her response to them. Honoring the guidance she received from God, she now is committed to fulfilling her life’s mission.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show – Faith Wave: I Think… Therefore It Is with Peter Baksa

Author, journalist, master life coach Peter Baksa has traveled the world collecting scientific research and life experiences that lead to the development of a technological model that illustrates how humans manifest their reality. Now he is sharing his insights to help others discover how they can begin to hone in on their desires, set an intention and declare a set of behaviors that are in alignment. Baksa asserts that we must detach from the intention and allow the same source energy that creates worlds from nothingness – to help organize and attract all the needed ingredients allowing said desire to become manifest. His book, Faith Wave: I Think… Therefore I Am discusses the connection between science, religion and manifestation.
Peter’s research involved developing a list of all the major religions including their major precepts, going back about 5000 years, and summarizing what they can teach us. His research on brains revealed how a thought is an electrical impulse and our reality is a manifestation of those thoughts. Richard Davidson at Madison University discovered there is a correlation between brain wave frequency and the consciousness of an individual.

Peter says “The number problem we have is separation between spirit and ego.” We are spiritual beings. Ego is a fear based perspective, when we are afraid of losing something. In spirit, you realize that you are here to evolve as a spiritual being. We often get stuck in our ego and can become very fearful and depressed. From a spiritual perspective, it helps to become more open, humble and gracious. If you can come to a life situation with those three traits, you can rise out of a bad situation.
He discusses three steps for becoming more successful: Intend, declare and detach. Peter also recommends: 1. observe your thoughts, 2. redefine your idea of success and what you desire. 3 behave your way to success.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing – Lead with Your Heart with Regina Cates

Regina Cates’s commitment to helping people awaken to lives of limitless possibility began in 2004 after a long, painful journey to unshackle her own life. The company she co-founded, Romancing Your Soul, is now a the source of inspiration for hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe. Her work enables her to fulfill her mission: helping people connect to and lead with their heart. In this interview, she discusses her first book, Lead with Your Heart: Creating a Life of Love, Compassion and Purpose. Her book contains a four step process for creating successful relationships with oneself and others. One of the most important aspects of relationships with others is shared values. Boundaries with both ourselves and others are also crucial, beginning with defining what is acceptable behavior for both parties within the relationship.

Regina discusses the importance of heeding our intuition, in part by shutting off the distracting inner messages of our minds. She believes “Faith is listening to the higher wiser part that is in each one of us” and that “we are spiritual beings on great adventures.” She recommends paying attention to what’s most important rather than multitasking.

It’s important to express gratitude for both positive and negative experiences. Regina explains how to find things to be grateful for, even in the midst of our worst experiences, by looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Make a list of everything that’s going right despite whatever pain we are experiencing, including the little things. “What we focus on, we create more of.” She recommends asking ourselves hard questions to know what we need to change and discover what is going right so we can love ourselves even more.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show– The Relationship between Positive Thinking and Hope

Download Episode

This week’s show is a continuation of a conversation with Dr. Swarj Kaur, this time as a discussion of hope and positive thinking. Dr. Swaraj Kaur, Ph.D., CEO and President of Dr. Kaur’s Wellness Solutions, is a certified holistic practitioner with over 25 years of experience as scientist and entrepreneur. With doctorates in biochemistry and naturopathy, she has published and presented her work in various scientific communities, including national and international symposiums

She begins by defining what “hope” means to her: “Hope is when you are looking from your heart for something, versus expectation.” When we have hope, we look for something better. When someone is sick, his or her mind tends to get analytical and focus on what’s wrong. But hope brings positive energy, enabling us to discover that “everything has a solution,” and be open to new things that are always coming our way. Everything around us has consciousness so when we send out positive vibrations, including hope, then we are sending those vibrations to whole universe, which returns that positive energy back to us and strengthens our thought process.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show – Spirituality, Health and Well-Being with Dr. Swaraj Kaur

Download Episode

Dr. Swaraj Kaur, Ph.D., CEO and President of Dr. Kaur’s Wellness Solutions, is a certified holistic practitioner with over 25 years of experience as scientist and entrepreneur. With doctorates in biochemistry and naturopathy, she has published and presented her work in various scientific communities, including national and international symposiums.

Dr. Kaur has found that spirituality is not learned but comes from within and is beyond logic. When one is faced with health issues, spiritual questions about finding meaning become even more important. She distinguishes between health, as referring to the condition of the body and wellness which is a “complete presentation when there is alignment between the body and mind.” Thus, it’s possible to be physically healthy but if we are not mentally healthy, then one is still not well.

When the body is not healthy, people often are compelled to seek why something is happening to them. Once they get more connected to themselves, there is more guidance available from within. We get messages from our body but we are often too busy to listen to them until something happens to capture our attention.

As we become more self-aware and connected to ourselves and our Higher Power, helping others is a wonderful way to deal with pain. “What we sow, so we reap”. If we do good for others, it comes back to us. Altruism is healing. Prayer is important especially when it’s open-ended discussion with God, a connection of devotion, love and acceptance of ourselves. Those who feel as if they have contributed to the greater good of the universe have an easier time letting go when our time on earth is up. Dr. Kaur suggests taking one to two minutes every morning to breath deeply and enjoy and be thankful for each breath, and to ask for guidance for the day. In the evening, be thankful for the guidance you are given and for the day itself.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show – You are the Placebo with Dr. Joe Dispenza

Download Episode

Bestselling author, Joe Dispenza, D.C., was one of the scientists featured in the award-winning film What the BLEEP Do We Know!? Since that movie’s release in 2004, his work has expanded, deepened, and spiraled in several key directions—all of which reflect his passion for exploring how people can use the latest findings from the fields of neuroscience and quantum physics to not only heal illness but also to enjoy a more fulfilled and happy life. Dr. Joe is driven by the conviction that each one of us has the potential for greatness and unlimited abilities. In this show, we discuss his newly released book, You are Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter.

Mary first opens this show by sharing a personal story of recovering from surgery in part via the placebo effect. Joe defines placebo as meaning “to please” then explains the background of how placebos foster healing. The concept of “nocebo” is described as the opposite of a placebo. Joe shares a story to demonstrate the effect of the nocebo, when some one believed he would die, then did so without serious reason for the death.

The placebo works on expectations. As Joe says, “Just because you’ve been diagnosed with a condition doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have any of the symptoms” If you provide an option for a new expectation and embrace being well rather than sick, you provide an opportunity for changing the diagnosis. Joe discusses how most thoughts and feelings come from past memories, which are etched in our brains. If you take a thought and attach it to a feeling, it becomes an attitude. A series of good thoughts connected to good feelings becomes a good attitude. How you think and feel creates a state of being. Attitude is a “shortened state of being.” If you string attitudes together and events together, that becomes a belief. A belief is a thought you keep thinking or events you keep experiencing so you hard-wire your brain into a set of circuitry.

When you string beliefs together, it becomes a perception, which is affects choices you make, relationships, behaviors, etc.
To change a belief or perception, you must change your fundamental state of being.

Joe describes epigenetics and how we can become our own genetic engineers. Meditation and Yoga can create thousands of new genes. Joe explains the connection between meditation and “being the placebo.” Meditation slows down the brain wave patterns so our inner world becomes more real than the outer world and we can drop down into the subconscious autonomic system. When you become the placebo, you “marry a clear intention with an elevated emotion, your brain and body are no longer in the past but in the future.” Keep doing that and new brain programming will start to occur.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show– The Healing Curve with Sara Chetkin

Download Episode

Sara Chetkin was diagnosed with scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, when she was fifteen years old, resulting in much discomfort and pain. She spent much of the next fifteen years exploring both her own spiritual growth and various healing techniques. In 2007, she earned a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Sara also is a Ro-Hun therapist and ordained minister with the Church of Wisdom, Delphi University. As a result of her own journey of healing, Sara decided to write her book, The Healing Curve: A Catalyst to Consciousness.

Sara says Ro-Hun helps a person go back into his or her life and look at pivotal moments that help determine about who they are, their place in the world and explore resulting belief systems and choices made. Often, beliefs are inaccurate so RoHun helps someone go back and find the moment of decision, and be more in touch with healing belief systems. It incorporates energy work and talk therapy, and is organized through the chakras. Ro-Hun helped Sara achieve important breakthroughs in her own healing journey.

Sara discusses other healing modalities that have been helpful ranging from psychic surgery in Brazil to a wise Maori healer in New Zealand. Her book includes several profound spiritual experiences that enabled her to “connect with her center and the stillness within.” Her illness has progressed in a positive way, although she is not fully healed physically but she continues to “create comraderie” with her spine.

Hope, Healing and WellBeing Show – Talking to Loved Ones on the Other Side for Guidance and Healing with Sue Frederick

Download Episode

Sue Frederick is the best-selling author of several books including Bridges to Heaven: True Stories of Loved Ones on the Other Side, our topic for this show. An intuitive since childhood, she draws upon dreams, ancient numerology, powerful intuition and conversations with spirits to help her clients fulfill their soul’s mission and use their pain for a meaningful life. In addition to being an intuitive coach, she also trains others to be intuitive grief coaches. After losing her husband when she was just 29 years old, Sue came to believe that ” grief wakes us up to who we are why we are here and what life is about it.” Her husband lived for just one year after a terminal diagnosis, but the couple lived very fully. When he died, Sue was blessed to see his spirit rise up just after he died.

Sue discusses how it is possible for people communicate with our deceased loved ones, She believes we come to earth to evolve our souls, then we return to the divine realm after we die. When people cross over, the spirit continues and we survivors can connect with our loved ones. This realization changes everything about grief. Intuition enables us to make these connections. Meditation helps quiet the left brain mind and develop our intuition.

She also shares ideas for how to help grieving family and friends. For example, ask them to describe what they’d like to share about the dying process of their loved ones. She recommends asking meaningful questions about their loss, both during the time of it and as they are grieving it. Death makes people question previous beliefs, including spiritual ones. So when someone is grieving, it’s very helpful to ask the about their beliefs, and perhaps offer to share their spiritual journey with them.

Sue says “pain is fuel to inspire us to do our greatest work and become our highest self” and that “Anger, blame and guilt are great allies for reinvention.” It is better to feel the difficult feelings rather than block them. She also discusses the difference between how men and women deal with grief. Sue shares ideas for healing grief, including daily meditation and quieting the mind, plus using simple energy shifters like being grateful.
