Becky Bohan and Nancy Manahan, PhD

Becky Bohan is the retired Vice-President of Knowledge Design and Delivery, a training consulting company. Nancy Manahan, Ph.D., is a community college English teacher, now retired. Becky and Nancy have co-authored and published five books. Their latest book, Living Consciously, Dying Gracefully: A Journey with Cancer and Beyond, tells the inspiring true story of their sister-in-law, Diane Manahan, a professor of nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato, after her diagnosis of terminal breast cancer. Their book has won six regional and national awards and has transformed many readers’ feelings about dying and what happens afterwards. Nancy and Becky have been speaking around the country, helping people plan for end-of-life issues, sharing information about caring for loved ones after death, home vigils and funerals, and green burials. They are currently active in changing legislation in Minnesota to grant families greater control of their loved ones at time of death.
